Joseph Haase (The Senator) has been in Broadcast Television for the past two decades.  He was a member/advisor of the Junior Achievement Company Beyond Our Control from 1983-1986 and graduated from Indiana University in 1990 with a BA in Telecommunications, and a minor in Speech. Since September of 1999, Joe has been the Consultant in Instructional Media Services at Indiana University South Bend.  In the spring of 2002, he served as an Associate Faculty Member in the School of Communications Arts at Indiana University South Bend.   From 1990 to 1999, he was employed by Michiana Telecasting (WNDU-TV) as a Camera Operator, Audio Engineer, Lighting Designer, and Director, working on such shows as NewsCenter 16, Agday, The Lou Holtz Show, Miracle on South Michigan Street, and Toasting Father Ted.  Joe serves as Director/Production Specialist on 16 Morning News with Tricia Sloma & Gordy Young on a part-time basis. In August of 1999, he appeared in the New Line Cinema film, Detroit Rock City as Security Guard.   He also has a recurring role on the internet sitcom Nobody’s Listening from Richardson Productions as Mike, the wacky neighbor. Joe married Julie J. (Johnson) Haase on March 9th, 1993.  They have two dogs, and two cats. The Haases’ make South Bend, Indiana their home.  Joe is an avid film buff, enjoys photography, hiking, has a fine compact disc collection, and is active in The Beyond Our Control Alumni Association.
