CAST CORONER:
Craig Lemons ROLES CORONER: (Male,
20-30s) Good-looking (leading man type) albeit slightly nerdy. He is a man of science who doesn’t believe in magic in a world of magic. Physical role STORY A man of science, the Coroner has been trying to figure out how the world of magic works, in particular the various illnesses and strange deaths that are befalling the princesses of the kingdom. His hunchbacked assistant Tom (who believes he is cursed) doesn’t understand his master’s science but helps him find people who have suffered strange maladies and deaths such as Snow White found in a glass coffin in a forest or Sleeping Beauty found in a tower surrounded by vines. DIRECTOR David Boyer (writer/director) won the Mid America Filmmakers $100 screenwriting contest two years in a row: first for the silent short Valentine’s Day, and next for the comedy 5cm Peter, which has been also featured at the Wet Your Pants Film Festival in Indianapolis. He has acted in numerous local films such as Harvey Putter and the Ridiculous Premise and has done extra work on such Hollywood films as The Express and The Dilemma. HANSEL: (Male, 20-early 30s) Must be able to do a German accent STORY Think Pulp Fiction and Sin City meet the Brother’s Grimm. Two hitmen take on a very evil, corrosive witch in a family restaurant. DIRECTOR Michael Kouroubetes (writer/director/producer) is an accomplished screenwriter and two-time winner of the Lester M. Wilson award for writing. He co-wrote and produced several feature films including Bloodlines, Kill the Messenger and The Dork of the Rings. He penned the sci-fi thriller A:\kill and the dreamlike short film Plunge and has worn many hats as an assistant director, producer and actor. He also directed The Benevolent Banana, a short film based off his award-winning script. He has helped organize several writer conferences at Indiana University South Bend where he received a B.A. in Philosophy and teaches screenwriting.
