GARRICK has been a staple of the Indiana University South Bend student newspaper The Preface since the mid-90's where the artist graduated in 1996 with a B.A. in Speech & Theatre. He continued to contribute comic as a campus staff member and now as an alumni.

Garrick perpetual low cap-wearing college student majoring in video production at a community college when he attends with his tattooed, spikey bleach-haired bud Zak.

Visit the patchwork archives of Garrick here. The artist continues to update these galleries with new strips while still scanning in older ones to fill in the archive gaps.

THE SHORT END OF THE STICK was born in the first summer issue of The Preface in 2003. The artist worked in the Instructional Media Offices on the campus and created the comic based on his experiences in IT, often commenting on current absurdities.  While he now longer works there, he continues to draw the strip from his experience and continued connections to the university.

Kevin is based off the real-life movie and sitcom actor Kevin McInerney, who is still employed in his IT job at the college. His compatriot, Herringbone as well as others are based or inspired by real individuals.

The SEOFTS galleries can be found right here.

CARICATURE DRAWING is something the artist has been doing for 16 years bringing fun to company parties, wedding receptions, Christmas parties, fun fairs and festivals.  He can be contacted regarding his hourly rates and he can also produce caricatures from photographs e-mailed to him.  He is located in the South Bend, IN area.
