The Company

The company is owned and operated by Tim Richardson, a creative, entrepreneurial filmmaker who has eighteen years experience in developing and producing short and feature-length films and sitcoms.  The company has and continues to surround itself with talented and creative associates and consultants who are helping the company continuously improve its operations and productions.

Richardson Productions LLC was founded in 1998, although Richardson has been making low budget films and cable television programs since 1990.  Through these endeavors, Richardson has gained valuable experience in writing, directing, producing, and editing.  Over the last 20 years, Richardson has produced over 30 films of varying lengths, including five sitcom episodes for the Internet.

Richardson Productions’ more recent feature films include the 2003 Civil War action/drama Kill The Messenger with cinematography by Jeffery P. Ackil, whose credits include Backdraft and Wayne’s World. The film has international distribution through Echelon Studios in Los Angeles. In 2006 and 2010 they released two parody films: The Dork of the Rings and Harvey Putter and the Ridiculous Premise. Each film has screened at over 20 film festivals and conventions worldwide. Dork won “Best Fantasy Film” at the It Came From Lake Michigan Film Festival in 2007 and "Best Comedy/Parody" at ConNooga 2008. Harvey stars Kiran Shah (Lord of the Ring trilogy) and was awarded Microfilmmaker Magazine's "Beast of Show Feature Film" in November 2010. Both films have (or have had) non-exclusive distribution through Midwest Tape Inc., which services 10,000 libraries,  Alliance Game Distributors, and DriveThru RPG and Film Baby.

In 2011 Richardson completed a short film Night of the Living Spuds based on his award-winning screenplay, which is screening at the Dragon*Con Independent Film Festival and GenCon Indianapolis Film Festival.

Production

Tim Richardson (Writer/Executive Producer/Director) is an award-winning screenwriter, filmmaker and owner of Richardson Productions LLC. He has shot over 30 films, a 40-episode cable program, and a recurring internet sitcom. His feature film Kill The Messenger is a Civil War epic and his latest projects are The Dork of the Rings and Harvey Putter and the Ridiculous Premise, which have received international attention with screenings worldwide and a number of awards. Richardson holds a B.A. in Speech & Theatre from I.U. South Bend. He is Festival Director of the River Bend Film Festival and serves as President of the 501C3 not-for-profit group Mid America Filmmakers based in South Bend, Indiana. He is currently Associate Faculty in Theatre at IU South Bend.

Michael Kouroubetes (Writer/Producer) is an accomplished screenwriter and two-time winner of the Lester M. Wilson award for writing. He co-wrote and/or produced several feature films including Bloodlines, Kill The Messenger and The Dork of the Rings and wrote A:\kill and the short film Plunge. He has also severed as an assistant director, actor and producer and directed a short film called The Benevolent Banana He holds a B.A. in Philosophy and has helped organize several writer conferences and is Workshops Chairman for the River Bend Film Festival.

James Pickens (Technical Director/Lead Visual Effects Artist) has acted in a variety of independent films including Second Sight and the Internet sitcom Nobody's Listening. He also has vast experience in production work including Field Camera Operator, Video Editor, Audio Editor and Assistant Director. He assisted Jeff Ackil (Wayne’s World, Backdraft, Uncle Buck) during the feature film Kill the Messenger and was cinematographer for The Dork of the Rings. He recently shot the short film The Benevolent Banana.

Kevin McInerney (Actor/Producer) stars in the internet sitcom Nobody's Listening and the webisodic Cup o' Kevin. He acted in Kill the Messenger, The Dork of the Rings, and Harvey Putter and the Ridiculous Premise. He helped produce Dork and Putter.

Trisha Miller (Technical Assistant) was Assistant Director for the film Kill the Messenger and has assisted on the sets of Nobody’s Listening, Second Sight and I’m Sorry Llama. She served as “Production Princess” on The Dork of the Rings. She is a screenwriter and holds a MA in Liberal Arts with a focus on film.

Mark D’Errico (Musical Score Composer) is the owner of Boulder Manhattan Studio in Colorado where he writes and records ambient, rock, instrumental and orchestral music. Being a multi-keyboardist since 1980, he knows how to evoke the deepest feelings from his music. He has released two CDs, Out of Bounds and Faithless Masque and is currently working on his third CD. He has also been busy scoring many feature-length and short films for the past two years, including The Human Condition, The Incident and Pot Zombies. He also scored The Dork of the Rings.

Ian Strandberg (Senior Visual Effects Consultant) is best known for his work as an illustrator and special effects designer creating digital and practical special effects for the critically acclaimed shorts Confederate Zombie Massacre! and Raven Gets a Life, as well as The Dork of the Rings and Troma’s outlandish Poultrygeist. He did visual effects for Devi Snively’s short Death in Charge and is charging forward on her first feature (Trippin) on which he was also the practical effects supervisor. Ian writes, directs, designs mechanical effects, costumes, designs and manufactures prosthetic teeth, builds puppets and works as a digital and a 3D effects artist on films ranging from shorts to features and from micro-budgets to budgets over a quarter of a million dollars.

Actors

Bryce Cone has acted in many independent features, including lead roles in To Write a Wrong, Bloodlines, Kill the Messenger, The Dork of the Rings , and Harvey Putter and the Ridiculous Premise. He also co-starred in the innovative online sitcom Nobody's Listening. Bryce plays a variety of instruments, is a member of the wizard rock band The Quaffle Kids and Neville’s Diary, and is a middle school band director. He is also Musical Director for Harvey Putter.

Joe Scheibelhut is a Florida actor and professional model whose film credits include the lead roles in the independent films Boys in Black, Revelations, Bloodlines, Plunge and Harvey Putter and the Ridiculous Premise. He was also a regular cast member of the cable program Assorted Silliness!, had a cameo in the thriller A:\kill, and guest starred as Eminem on the sitcom Nobody's Listening. He has been appearing in films since he was 11.

Kiran Shah stars in Harvey Putter and the Ridiculous Premise and did an introduction for The Dork of the Rings. He has appeared in numerous films, television productions, commercials and videos.  These include Legend in which he co-starred with Tom Cruise, and Titanic where he did stunts. He was also involved on The Lord Of The Rings trilogy with director Peter Jackson and was scale double and stunt double for all the Hobbits (mainly Frodo) and trained little people on movement and mask work. He is currently filming The Hobbit films. In 2004 Kiran was back in New Zealand filming The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe playing a character called ‘Ginarrbrik’. Kiran also writes poetry, his work has been published in Britain and America.  In 2004 with his nephew Kit formed a company called ‘Little Kiran Productions’ they co-directed a short film called Still Living and in 2005 they directed their first feature film Weekend Lovers. Kiran is a ‘Guinness World Record’ holder as the ‘shortest professional stuntman currently working in film’ since October 2003. He also did the introduction for The Dork of the Rings DVD. His website is www.littlekiran.com.

David Kiefer has performed in numerous stage productions including The Odd Couple, The Sunshine Boys, and The Sound Of Music. Recently he was in Kill the Messenger as Captain McCormick and starred as Randolf the Wizard in The Dork of the Rings and became a beloved fan favorite at Lord of the Rings and fantasy conventions nationwide. Sadly, David passed away suddenly in June 2009 a year after playing Professor Mumblemore in Harvey Putter and the Ridiculous Premise, but his legacy will live on.

Joseph Haase was a member/advisor of the Junior Achievement company "Beyond Our Control" from 1982-1986. He has acted in television and film, including New Line Cinema's Detroit Rock City, The Dork of the Rings, Harvey Putter and the Ridiculous Premise and the internet serial Nobody's Listening. He is Screening Chair for the River Bend Film Festival.

Jim Hall starred as Arogant the Wrangler in The Dork of the Rings and Professor Snake in Harvey Putter and the Ridiculous Premise.  His television experience includes “The Night Shift” and several commercials for Fun F/X. He received his bachelors degree in broadcasting/mass communications from Indiana University South Bend and his hobbies include sports, working out, and martial arts. He has acted in a number of short films including Hitman Hardknocks and Night of the Living Spuds.

Chad Smith has extensive experience working with Richardson Productions acting in many films including Robin Hood and His Merry Band of Idiots, Macdeth, A Business Carol, Revelations and Bloodlines, and Harvey Putter and the Ridiculous Premise.
